This service is to fully replace the Primescan coated sapphire lens with a new coated sapphire lens. Our sapphire lens fits exactly as OEM. Our Coating is the same as the new “ST” (stainless steel) Primescan sleeve. This will also work if your lens is not stainless. Our sapphire lens has been tested on all versions of software and works just like OEM.

Upon arrival, the sleeve will be repaired and shipped back in less then 24 hours. Standard Return shipping is USPS Priority Shipping 1-3 days to most places. You can upgrade to one or two days at additional cost. Also UPS and Fedex is available.

Before Ordering: If the metal sleeve is damaged, we CANNOT fix this, only the glass window on the sleeve. Turn around time is about a week or less, time varies on shipping. Lens itself is re-shipping in under 24 hours. Please note time when scheduling patients.
Once you have ordered a new lens, You will be emailed the shipping address. We recommend USPS Small Flat rate box. The box is FREE at any post office, the box already has tape to seal it up. Package the lens in foam or bubble wrap.

**DO NOT THROW THE LENS IN THE BOX WITH OUT SOME TYPE OF PACKING MATERIAL**

Box up the lens and attach the shipping label. Drop off at any blue USPS mailer box.

If you would like to upgrade to UPS or Fedex, just email us and we will ship it how you please. Shipping cost on the listing is to return your lens to you. This includes insurance and tracking for the small flat rate box.

Q: Why does the Primescan lens color distort over time? Even if I’ve never scratched the lens?

A: From seeing hundreds of Primescan lens I can confirm they ALL do this. The reason this happens is a mix between two factors. The cleaning / disinfectant Sirona has you use mixed with the camera lens on the lens heat pad all day, this can cause the coating to change color (blueish / greenish), have spots and/or look like scratches. This is simply the Coating on the sapphire lens slowing becoming damaged.

Q: Why does my old lens have a blue hue sometimes? Why does yours look green?

A: When Omnicam first rolled out it used a Blue A/R coated sapphire lens. Over the years Sirona noticed the mix between the disinfected and the lens heater the colors would distort. They changed their coating around 2016 with the “ST” (stainless steel) sleeve. The color of the new coating is a green hue. Therefore our lens have the green hue, as it is the optimized color for Cerec software.

Q: Does your lens work the same as the original lens?

A: Absolutely! This lens has been tested and works as it should with all Cerec software. Even better It’s half the cost!

Q: How long does it take to get my Primescan lens sleeve back?

A: Once you send your lens and it arrives. The sleeve will be repaired and shipped back in less then 24 hours. Standard Return shipping is USPS Priority Shipping 1-4 days to most places. You can upgrade to one or two days at additional cost.

Q: How should I ship my lens to make sure it gets there securely?

A: I would recommend a USPS small flat rate box. Wrap it in foam or bubble wrap. This priority shipping service is 1-3 days and includes tracking for around $8.50.
